Pen or Sword

artists are those who chase their demons in the night
the ones with big teeth and red angry eyes
they write, paint and draw creating magic that breaks
down the evil of the day piece by piece
They aren't afraid to face forward in the dark
instead of hunching over and finding the closest exit
they take pen to paper creating weapons of mass destruction
fighting to the end until daylight appears once more
